Crowd welcomes new longwall dust control facility
Congratulations to SIU inventor Dr. Paul Chugh, on the opening of the new longwall dust control facility. About 50 people from industry, economic development and SIU were in attendance yesterday to cheer the new facility and Dr. Chugh's team's continuing focus on safety and health of miners.

March 20: Opening Ceremony for Longwall Dust Control Facility
SIU's Dr. Yoginder P. Chugh, with funding from Illinois Clean Coal Institute, has been developing a unique facility for longwall
mining dust control at the Illinois Coal Development Park in
Carterville. On March 20, 2014 there will be an opening ceremony of the unique facility starting at 11:30 AM.
